Yusuf Estes: A moderate approach to explaining Islam

Yusuf Estes is one of the main people who really helped me understand Islam. His cheerful attitude combined with his personal experience as an ex-Christian who didn’t know much about Islam before, he sheds light on topics in a way that is easy for all to understand.
He converted in 1991. According to Wikipedia “He is a former National Muslim Chaplain for the United States Bureau of Prisons as well as a Delegate to the United Nations World Peace Conference for Religious Leaders held in September 2000. Active in Islamic missionary work in the United States, he often features as guest lecturer and keynote speaker at various Islamic events as well as frequently appearing on various Islamic satellite TV channels. ”
His story
He converted to Islam while actually trying to convert a Muslim to Christianity. His story is inspiring really shows us that Allah guides whomever he wills.
Here is his story:
My favourite lectures
Here are some of my favourite lectures by him.
This one is my favourite because one of the challenges we face is explaining Islam to people who base everything on science. Islam is not about blind faith but there is actually a lot of logic behind it too.
I will be adding more lectures here as and when I find them!
